At The Kash Foundation, we believe every veteran and service member deserves more than gratitude --- they deserve action. Sacrifice does not end when the uniform comes off, and neither should our commitment. Across the country, too many of our warriors come home to face new battles: financial hardship, medical complications, mental health struggles, and the long road of recovery.
That is why we partner with frontline organizations that step in where others fall short --- to deliver urgent relief, restore dignity, and remind every hero that America has not forgotten them.
Together, with the support of donors like you, we've helped provide everything from emergency financial assistance and lifesaving medical care, to family reunifications, adapted housing, educational opportunities, and long-term wellness programs. The results are measured not just in statistics, but in the smiles of veterans like RichardRossi, the comfort of families reunited at hospital bedsides, and the independence restored when a wounded warrior turns the key to a brand-new home.
Urgent Relief for Wounded Veterans
Through our support of the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund (WVRF), we've seen firsthand how immediate action saves lives. WVRF provides two critical programs: Urgent Financial Assistance for housing, utilities, childcare, and transportation needs, and Critical Dental Assistance for veterans who fall into the 85% who do not qualify for VA dental care.
Because of our $50,000 grant, WVRF was able to exceed their program goals last year --- serving more than 1,324 veterans and their families with over $1.7 million in direct aid. In 2025, they are already on track to reach 1,500 families and deliver more than $2.2 million in assistance.
Behind those numbers are stories of resilience. Like World War II veteran Richard Rossi, who at 101 years old was living with severe dental pain and missing teeth. Within four days of being connected through WVRF's network, he was receiving treatment --- and today, he is pain-free, eating comfortably, and smiling once again. His words say it all: "Heroes don't wear capes. They wear dog tags."
Other veterans shared:
Each story represents not just relief in a crisis, but the restoration of hope and dignity.
Reuniting Families in Recovery
For many service members, the most powerful medicine is family. With partners like Luke's Wings, we've made sure that wounded warriors in hospitals never have to face recovery alone. Since 2008, Luke's Wings has provided flights for families of injured, wounded, and ill service members, so they can be present during critical moments of healing.
U.S. Army Sergeant Franz W. drew strength from his family's presence while recovering from life-threatening injuries. Army Chief WarrantOfficer Angela D. leaned on her children's encouragement through countless surgeries. Lieutenant James W. described family visits as the turning point in his recovery.
Each of these flights may seem small in cost, but the impact is immeasurable. A mother able to hold her son's hand. A spouse whispering words of encouragement. A child reminding their parent what they're fighting for. These reunions embody the mission of Luke's Wings and the heart of what The Kash Foundation fights for every day: to keep families whole, and to make sure no one fights their battles in silence.
Building Homes, Restoring Independence
Home is more than four walls. For a wounded veteran, it's a foundation of safety, stability, and dignity. Through our partnership with Helping a Hero, we've been part of providing specially adapted homes to service members who returned from battle with life-altering injuries.
In Pensacola, a wounded veteran and his family recently received the keys to their new home --- fully adapted to meet his mobility needs. In another case, Helping a Hero fulfilled their promise to ensure a family would move into their new home before Christmas. These are not simply houses; they are lifelines. Every ramp, widened doorway, and accessible feature represents freedom restored and a daily reminder that their sacrifices are honored.
These homes allow warriors to raise their children, share family meals, and build a future without being defined by their injuries. They are monuments to resilience, community, and the belief that America takes care of its own.
Health, Hope, and Long-Term Care
Not all wounds are visible, and too often the silent struggles of veterans are overlooked. That's why The Kash Foundation proudly supports the HunterSeven Foundation, which focuses on post-deployment health issues, including toxic exposure and long-term warrior care.
Their programs connect veterans with screenings, treatments, and resources tailored to the unique challenges of military service. For many, these interventions are the first step toward healing conditions that would otherwise go undiagnosed and untreated. Beyond the medical care, HunterSeven also provides essential support for immediate needs--- ensuring warriors facing health crises aren't forced to choose between treatment and survival.
It is work that saves lives today while safeguarding the health of future generations of service members.
Honoring the Fallen, Supporting the Living
While much of our work is about supporting living veterans, we also honor those who gave everything. Through the Officer Down Memorial Page (ODMP), we help preserve the legacies of fallen law enforcement heroes. ODMP maintains a permanent, respected record of sacrifice and provides critical support to surviving families.
By ensuring that every name is remembered and every sacrifice recognized, we reinforce a truth we hold sacred: America never forgets its heroes. This is not just history --- it is a living commitment to the families left behind.
Quiet Grants, Lifelong Impact
Not every story can be shared publicly. Many of the grants we provide goto individuals and families who understandably wish to remain anonymous.Their needs are often urgent --- a mortgage about to default, a car repair preventing a veteran from getting to work, or childcare needed while a service member trains for new employment.
We respect their privacy, but the impact is just as profound. Time and again, our support has prevented homelessness, kept lights on in dark times, and bridged the gap until stability returned. These "quiet victories" are just as important as the public ones --- a reminder that every gift you make directly changes a life, even when the details remain unseen.
Inspiring the Next Generation
Our commitment extends beyond veterans to the next generation of patriots. That's why we are proud to support Providence Academy in Virginia. Their mission combines classical education with a strong focus on faith, family, and patriotism.
Every year, their Veterans Day program brings these values to life.Students sing the official songs of each military branch, and they hear directly from veterans about service, sacrifice, and honor. It's more than a performance --- it's an education of the heart. These moments instill pride in country and respect for those who defend it, ensuring that patriotism is passed from one generation to the next.
The Impact Is Clear
The results of these partnerships are undeniable:
But behind every number is a face, a family, a story of sacrifice met with compassion. Every grant we give is more than dollars --- it's a lifeline. It's a roof over a family's head, a reunion in a hospital room, a smile restored, a child singing for their country, or a name remembered forever.
This is your impact. This is how we Back the Brave and Build the Future.
